The question of identity is a complex and constantly evolving process of self-knowledge influenced by various factors, including profession, ethnicity, gender, disposition, and memory. This juried print exhibition explores this age-old question in a modern context, while demonstrating the rich range of printmaking techiques.

Craft and Folk Art Museum. Patrick Merrill is an artist, master printer and
Director and curator of the Kellogg University Art Gallery at California State
University, Pomona, CA.
ABOUT CAFAM The Craft and Folk Art Museum is located in the Museum Row section of the Miracle Mile district, along with four museums, including the Los Angeles County Art Museum. Since its inception in 1965 as The Egg and The Eye, (incorporated as a museum in 1973), CAFAM has been an active part of the cultural life of the city. The museum’s mission has been to champion cultural understanding by encouraging curiosity about our world through the universal lens of folk art and craft. CAFAM’s curatorial mission is based on expanding traditional views of craft and folk art by incorporating contemporary perspectives on living traditions.
